Gayland Bryan Wilcoxon, 83, passed from this life to the next on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at Eastland City Cemetery, Eastland, TX at 3:00 PM. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.
Gayland Bryan Wilcoxon was born on April 17, 1938 in Lingleville, Texas to Robert Earl and Maxine Wilcoxon. He graduated from high school in Lingleville. Mr. Wilcoxon married Betty Burleson on December 19, 1959 in Odessa, Texas. He worked for TXU for 35 years as a lineman, and was a Mason out of Lingelville and a member of the Olden Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Wilcoxon; son, Kenneth; daughter, Carolyn Bruaw; a brother, Wilson Wilcoxon; a sister, Linda Wilcoxon; and a grandson, Chastin Bruaw.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
