Ginger Vaughn, 58 of Eastland, TX went home to be with the Lord, early Friday morning December 6, 2013. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 10th at the First Baptist Church in Eastland with Dr. Shawn Brewer and Rev. Tim Plant officiating. Burial followed in the Eastland City Cemetery. The family received friends Monday, 5-7p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland.
Ginger was born December 15, 1954 in Grand Prairie to Carl and Nell Boyd Poindexter. She graduated from Grand Prairie High School and on December 16, 1978 she married Pat Vaughn in Grand Prairie. Ginger and Pat shortly after, moved to Eastland and have lived here for the past 25 years. Ginger worked for several places including Hood King Motor Company, Eastland National Bank, Eastland Memorial Hospital and Accounts Payable at EBAA Iron for the last 20 years. Ginger was an avid shopper, always put others first and enjoyed cooking for others.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Pat Vaughn of Eastland; daughter, Katie Vaughn of Abilene; 2 brothers, Tom Poindexter of Grand Prairie and Boyd Poindexter of Mansfield; 2 sisters, Sharon Poindexter of Grand Prairie and Carla Barlett of Arlington; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and her dog, Texie and granddog, Diva Faith.
