Glenda Faye Garrett, 78, of Eastland, passed from this life on Sunday, December 5, 2021 in Ranger
Texas.
Graveside Services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Eastland City Cemetery. Viewing
will be from 6 – 8 PM, Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.
Glenda was born on May 22, 1943 in Abilene, Texas to Noah and Dessie (Johnnie) Renfro Johnson. She
married John Garrett on September 9, 1961 in Big Springs, Texas. He preceded her in death on February
16, 2016. She owned and operated Humpty Dumpty Day Care in Eastland for over 30 years and had
lived in the area for most of her life. She was also preceded in death by her sons: Grandal Garrett and
Gregg Garrett; and a brother: Bob Johnson.
She is survived by her daughter in law: Carla Garrett of Eastland ; granddaughters: Trisha Arnold and
husband Danny, of Cisco and Kristina Richardson and husband Matt, of Eastland ; great-grandchildren:
Kasey Arnold, Janna Arnold, Carra Arnold, Kynle Arnold, Nettie Richardson, and Jordan Richardson;
brother: James Johnson and wife, Carole, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and sisters: Dean Greer of Hot
Springs, Arkansas and Sue McInis and husband, Larry, of Sachse, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland.
