Gloria Joyce Peeples

Gloria Joyce Peeples, 88 of Ranger, passed away Thursday March 17, 2016 in Eastland. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger with Doke Johnson officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland.
Mrs. Peeples was born May 13, 1927 in Ranger to Charles N. Wheat and Ethel Pruitt Wheat. She married Carl Hollis Peeples on October 23, 1948 in Eastland. She was a homemaker and a member of the Leon River Cowboy Church. She had a passion for music and enjoyed spending time with her family. Mr. Peeples preceded her in death on September 4, 2004. She was also preceded by her beloved son, Terry Peeples.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Linda Meroney of Eastland, and Carla Beth Wells of Belton; a daughter-in-law, Kerri Peeples; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations in Mrs. Peeples name may be made to Alzheimer’s Foundation of American, 322 Eighth Ave, 7th fl, New York, NY 10001, or to National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation, PO Box 1848, Longmont, CO 80502.
