Guillermo Galicia Rodriguez, 88, passed from this life to the next on Monday, June 15, 2020. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 11AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-6 and rosary will be said at 7PM. Mr. Rodriguez will be interred in San Luis Potosi, Mexico next week.
He was born on February 10, 1932 in La Escondida, Tierrra Nueva, San Luis Potosi, Mexico to Francisco Galicia and Epigmenia Rodriguez Galicia. He married Martina Garcia Alvarado on January 23, 1953 in Tierra Nueva. He enjoyed his work very much at the hat factory, and was well known for his excellent skills and work ethic.
Survivors include his sons, Teodulo Galicia, Leonardo Galicia, Juan Galicia, Francisco Galicia, and Roselio Galicia; daughters, San Juana Galicia, Carmen Galicia, and Epifania Galicia; niece and nephews, Maria Asuncion Garcia, and Martin and Maria Garcia; 18 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Guillermo Galicia, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters.
