MINGUS – Gwendolyn Jean Jackson, age 81, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 27, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas. With heavy hearts, Gwendolyn’s family will plan a memorial service at a future date providing an opportunity for all who loved Gwendolyn to mourn her passing and celebrate her life.
Gwendolyn was born in Van Nuys, CA, on August 22, 1942, to Charlie Paige Spann and Bernice Srofe. She lived the beginning of her life in California before moving to Texas with her parents. Gwendolyn married Monte Jackson on July 6, 1996, in Mingus, Texas, where they made their home for 26 years. She worked most of her adult life at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company, in Fort Worth.
Gwendolyn is proceeded in death by her Parents, Charlie and Bernice Spann; and Daughter, Kandie Raye Howard. She is survived by her Husband, Monte Jackson; Daughter, Tana Rasor (Terry) of Fort Worth, Texas; Sons, Larry Dale Jackson (Amy) of Keller Texas, Tim Jackson of Granbury, Texas, and D.J. Thweatt of Alvord, Texas; Grandchildren, Tara Slack, Terry Rasor Jr., John Carter Jackson, Colton Jackson, Cameron Jackson, Hunter Jackson, Sierra Jackson, Katie Jo Jackson, Brent Jackson, Macie Thweatt, Grayson Thweatt, Kinzler Thweatt, and Breckyn Thweatt; and Great Grandchildren, Ruby, Lila, Hadley and Hank.
