Herbert Ellis Williams

Herbert Ellis Williams, 79, passed away Saturday, June 7, 2014 in Bedford. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger with Ronny Guess officiating and under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger.
Mr. Williams was born July 9, 1934 in Ranger to Samuel Thomas and Vesta Elizabeth (Keck) Williams. He graduated from Ranger High School. He served in the National Guard for several years. He married Mary Jo Stie on November 1, 1957 in Ranger. He was a member of the First Christian Church. He was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Eugene Williams.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Williams; a daughter, Susan Shepherd & husband Adam of Colleyville; a brother, Charles Lee Williams & wife Fran of Tucker, Georgia; and granddaughter, Katie Shepherd of Colleyville.
Memorial donations in Mr. Williams name may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001.
