Hilary Mendoza Vasquez passed from this world on February 24, 2024, at the age of 85. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland, TX, on March 1, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on March 2, 2024, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 1109 Blackwell Rd., Ranger, TX, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will immediately follow the funeral at the Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, TX. Funeral Arrangements are being handled by Edwards Funeral Home. Born on January 14, 1939, in Ranger, TX, Hilary had a remarkable way of always making others feel valued and loved. Her cheerful personality and kindness always flowed effortlessly. Hilary was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, and friend. Her absence will be deeply felt by all her loving family, who adored her presence. Throughout her 85 years, Hilary attended and graduated from Ranger High School in 1961. She worked at Hollywood Vassarette in Eastland, TX, where she retired after many years. Hilary also worked for Wal- Mart as a cashier, where she retired after 16 years. She was a hard, faithful worker and enjoyed her job. Hilary also enjoyed spending time with family, baking, dancing, and playing dominoes. Her best loved moments were with her grandchildren, she adored each one greatly. Hilary is survived by her daughter, Nancy Vasquez and husband Eric Herrera. Sister, Fern Vasquez. Brothers, Luis Vasquez, Alfonso Vasquez, and Junior Vasquez. Grandchildren, Noah Ballesteros, Sammy Herrera, Allison Herrera, Zakery Ballesteros, and Cooper Ballesteros. Hilary is preceded in death by father, Emeterio Vasquez, mother Florencia Mendoza Vasquez, brother Cruz Vasquez, brother John Vasquez, sister Nancy Mayo, sister Teresa Ponce, son, Jose Angel Ballesteros, and niece Patricia DeLaTorre. Rest in peace sweet Hilary. You will be deeply missed by all whose lives you have touched.
