Hildegard Marie Squiers

Hildegard Marie (Hilde) Squiers, 96, passed away peace-fully Thursday, February 15, 2018 surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be Monday at 10:00 AM February 19, 2018 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel, 411 S. Mulberry ST, Eastland. Family will receive friends prior to service at 9:00 AM at the funeral home chapel.

Hildegard was born November 28, 1921 in Berlin Germany to Gustav and Clara Jacob Brandt. She married Wulf Hinze April 17, 1941. He preceded her in death in May of 1945. She married SGT Doyle Squiers August 12, 1948. After 37 years of marriage he preceded her in death on March 24, 1986. She married Noble Squiers April 26, 1988 and he preceded her in death on May 12, 2000.

She retired from Eastland National Bank after 20+ years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and volunteered at the Eastland Food Pantry. Hilde enjoyed all types of crafts and was an accomplished quilter and seamstress. She loved traveling with her daughter. They went to many exciting places including New York and California.

She is survived by her daughter Renata McLemore and husband Jerald, step-sons Dale Squiers and wife Sandra, and Randy Squiers, one step-daughter Debbie Arwood and husband Jack. Grandchildren Pam Cobb and husband Shane, Melissa Collins, Todd McLemore and wife Tammy. Great grandchildren Stephanie Halladay and husband Brian, Lauren Ivy and husband Wade, Derek Collins and wife Jenny, and Chad Collins and 6 great great grandchildren.
