Mr. Huey Edward Turner, age 75, was called home into God’s Kingdom on Sunday, November 5, 2023. He was born in Ranger, Texas, on September 4, 1948, to the late Thurman Turner and Freddie Mae (Green) Turner.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; sisters, Hattie Lee Elliott and Ruby Faye Walker; and brothers, Charles E. Wright and Roston King.
Although born in Ranger, Huey was raised in Eastland, Texas, and attended Douglas High School. Huey worked in the oil industry, first as a lineman with Transco Energy and later becoming an inspector with Williams Companies. He worked for Williams Companies for 20 years before retiring.
Huey married the love of his life, Glenda G. Chriesman, and to this union was born one daughter, Natasha M. Turner-Bluitt.
He loved his family and had a special and close bond with his grandson, Aiden S. Bluitt. He was meticulous about his lawn and enjoyed fishing, watching westerns and the ministry of T.D. Jakes.
To cherish the unforgettable memories of his life, he leaves his wife of 47 years, Glenda G. Chriesman-Turner; daughters, Tasondra Clay of San Antonio, Betty Anne Cavanaugh of Dallas, Texas, Natasha (Omar) M. Turner-Bluitt of Arlington, Texas, and son, Sean E. Turner of San Antonio, Texas; grandsons, Thomas Clay, Joshua Clay, and Aiden S. Bluitt; brothers, Bobby Gene (Sabrina) Turner of Eastland, Texas, and Glenn Wayne (Susan) Turner of Seattle, Washington; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
