James Edwin Booth

James Edwin Booth, age 34, unexpectedly departed this life on February 9th, 2021 at his home in Phoenix, AZ. James was born on November 26, 1986 in Fort Worth, TX to Robin Owen Booth and Terry Booth.

James is a veteran and served in the Afghanistan and Iraq campaigns achieving the rank of Sergeant in the US Army as a Health Care Specialist (Field Medic).

James was very supportive, extremely loyal and a fierce protector of his family, friends and comrades in arms. His training and role in the military served him well throughout his life toward his desire to care for others when they were in need.

After serving 8.5 years, James was honorably discharged due to medical complications from a collapsed lung. James then chose to pursue helping others by attending Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training. Upon EMT training and certification completion, he planned to join a Fire Department in the Phoenix, AZ area. James also used his military experience and training as a supervisor/Instructor to train civilians to use weapons and how to deal with field wounds.

James is preceded in death by his grandparents: James S. and Patricia Owen, George and Marion Booth; and uncle: Kyle Bruce Owen.

James is survived by his mother Robin Owen Booth of North Richland Hills, TX; father Terry Booth and stepmother Amy Privin Booth of Chandler, AZ; sister: Kelly Booth; sister and brother-in-law: Marrin and Brandon Courter; brother and sister-in-law: Eric and Lindsey Booth; nephews: Dustin and Gage Booth; aunts: Selina Owen and Emily Nowak (Auntie Em); and, many friends and comrades in arms. Also, his most loyal and faithful companion, Crixus - a rescued Pit Bull mix.
