James W. Johnston, 59 of Ranger, passed away on August 15, 2020.
James was born in Brownwood TX to Corky & Irene (Rust) Johnston on August 30, 1960 James attended school in Ranger. He married Shay Ford on May 22, 1994 at Palo Pinto lake. He worked many jobs and was truly a jack of all trades.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Corky & Irene Rust Johnston. A brother Wesley Johnston and sister Melba Wright.
James is survived by his wife, Shay Johnston; son, Will Johnston; daughters, Whitley Hobbs, Wanda & Wynter Johnston; brother, Joey & wife Renne Johnston; sister, Wanda Dosey; brother in law, Quitin Wright; step mother, Phyllis Johnston; grandchildren, Michael Castorena, Emma Hobbs, Kyrstin Johnston, Camden Johnston, Braylon Johnston, and Braxton Johnston. He also leaves behind, best friend, Deb Cleaver and 4-legged daughter, Ima and many more friends that became family.
Pallbearers will be Cody Jones, Ronnie Gilbert, Ernest Merideth, Shaylor Roberts, Billy Day, and Corky Dosey.
