James Allen Scott

James Allen Scott was born July 15, 1953 to the late Pete and Marie Scott. James passed on June 1, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 69 years.
James grew up in Mingus, Tx and was a graduate of Gordon High School. He married, Cecilia “Cissy” Wyatt on February 17, 1978 in Strawn, Texas. He was preceded in death by both parents; 2 brothers, Joe Ed, and JT Scott; and a son, James Allen Scott, Jr.
He is Survived by his wife, Cissy; 3 sons, Ricky Jones and his wife Lou, Cody Scott and Sarah,
Chris Scott and Lisa; and a daughter, Jamie; 7 grandchildren, Tyler, Sara, Jamie, Gracie, Wyatt, Ashlyne, and Mikayla; 1 brother, Curtis; 3 sisters, Martha, Jean, and Jane; and several nieces and nephews .
James worked as a Compressor mechanic for over 35 years, having worked in places such as
Peru, Oman, Argentina, Egypt, Alaska, Venezuela, and Libya. While on his “28 days” home, he farmed for himself as well as the public. He was a very hard worker and taught his sons to do the same.
James was a member of the Strawn Masonic Lodge No.906AF & AM
