Jane Carter

Jane Carter, 86, of Eastland, passed peacefully from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on September 22, 2021 in Eastland.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM, Monday, September 27, 2021 at First Baptist Church of Eastland.
Jane was born on July 28, 1935 in Rising Star, Texas to Amos Roy and Lottie Lee Tye Myrick. She married Jerry Carwyn Carter on April 8, 1955 in Eastland, Texas. He preceded her in death on October 17, 2015. She retired from many years at VC Menus and Beils Draperies and enjoyed the simpler things of life such as her church work, gardening, volunteering with Meals on Wheels, and Closet Angels. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Don Myrick of Graham, Texas.
Survivors include her son, Jon Cary Carter of Eastland; daughter: Jerianne Byrne and husband Mark of Weatherford; grandchildren, Justin Green, Jackson Carter, and Caroline Carter; sister, Marianne Walker and husband Vernon of South Carolina; niece, Jaime Jones and husband Mark of South Carolina; as well as second cousin, Karen Green.
The family requests that memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Eastland or Closet Angels.
Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland, Texas.
