Janice Ann Collander Eaton, 73, of Ranger, Texas passed from this life on Monday, January 24, 2022 at her home.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Gospel Light Baptist Church, 601 Country Club Parkway, Mineral Wells, Texas, with Brother Caleb Shipman officiating.
Janice was born on September 21, 1948 in Dallas County, Texas to Willaim and Inez Proffitt Collander Bennett. She married J. C. Eaton on June 9, 1984 and he preceded her in death on February 4, 2009. She was a food service tech, a farmer, and was an excellent bookkeeper. She was a member of Gillespie Baptist Church in Munday, Texas. She was also preceded in death by brother, Ron Collander and bonus son, James Lynn Eaton.
Janice loved her dogs, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, visiting on the phone, words with friends, birdwatching, baking cookies for her grandkids, fishing, and rock hounding.
She is survived by daughter, Jeannine Crawford and husband Aaron; bonus sons, John Eaton, Jay Eaton, and Jerry Eaton and wife Jan; bonus daughter, Jeraine Eaton Taylor; brother: James Collander; sister: Vicki Holcomb and husband Henry; grandchildren: Jacob Echols and wife Stephanie, Mikah and husband Ron Hebert, and Caleb Echols and wife Trisha; 4 great-grandchildren; and numerous bonus grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Ranger, Texas.
