– Janie Maedell Warren, age 80 went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 28, 2017. Her loving husband of 62 years, Harry Floyd Warren, age 82 followed her to Heaven the next day, Monday, May 29, 2017. Graveside services will be 11:00am Saturday, June 3, 2017 at Murray Cemetery located south of Carbon, TX on Hwy 6 under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home, Eastland.
Janie was born September 27, 1936 in Carbon, TX to Sam and Serena Bryant Walker. Harry was born July 5, 1934 in Cisco, TX to Arthur Jay and Runa Susanna Mosley Warren. They both graduated from Cisco High School. On June 6, 1954 they were married in Cisco, TX.
Harry joined the Army National Guard but never served. He worked in Sales as a Broomcorn Supplier. Janie was a housewife and would work from time to time. Her last employment was as a clerk at the cleaners. They were members at the Richland Hills Baptist Church in Richland Hills, TX.
Janie and Harry loved the outdoors; camping and going to the lake as a family. Janie was an excellent cook who was known to stay up all night cooking for special occasions, but Janie’s and Harry’s love and heart belonged to their family.
Janie and Harry are survived by 2 sons; Ray Warren and wife Debbie, Randy Warren and wife Laurie, 2 daughters; Belinda Raney and Teresa Freeze and husband William, 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Janie is survived by a brother, Larry Walker and a sister, Janelle Welling.
Harry is survived by a brother, Jimmy Warren.
