Jerry Leon Osteen

Jerry Leon Osteen, age 86, passed from this life into the arms of Jesus, on Thursday, June 8, 2023 at Ranger Care Center in Ranger, TX. He was born on September 10, 1936 to Sam Lee Osteen and Pearl Lee (Renner) Osteen. He was a transport driver for many years.
Jerry married the love of his life, Betty (Coleman) Osteen in Monahans, TX on December 10, 1953. He was a great husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great grandfather and friend. He was a hard worker and was strong in faith. He will be dearly missed.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 69 years: Betty Osteen; two sons: Jerry Allen Osteen of Lake Leon, TX and Jimmy Ray Osteen and wife Ester of Carbon, TX; two daughters: Shirley Thompson and husband Larry of Eastland, TX and Vicki Lynn Horn of Olden, TX; one sister: Linda Bean of Monahans, TX; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Those preceding him in death were his parents: Sam and Pearl Osteen, two brothers, two sisters and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 10, 2023 at Merriman Cemetery in Ranger. Arrangements are entrusted to Edward Funeral Home in Eastland and condolences to the family may be sent online at www.edwards-funeral-homes.com .
In lieu of flowers, donations in Jerry’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
