Jerry Wayne Scott

Jerry Scott, 76, of Eastland, passed away at 12:01 am April 3, 2018 at his home in Eastland, TX. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday April 5, at Merriman Cemetery with Pastor Craig Rhoton officiating. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home, Eastland, Wednesday, 5~6 p.m.
Jerry was born October 16, 1941 in San Angelo, Texas to Raymond and Verta Mae Harvey Scott. He graduated from McCamey High School and married Sheridan Horton on January 11, 1963 in Upton County. They lived in several places in West Texas for many years before retiring to Eastland. He was a Production Foreman for TP Oil Co. and a member of Lake Leon Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Verta Mae Scott, and one brother Ray Paul Scott.
Survivors include wife of 55 years, Sheridan; sons, Dwayne and wife Robyn of Grapevine, Jody and wife Lisa of Cisco, Brad and wife Mandy of Gun Barrel City; brother, Don Scott and wife Margaret; sister, Sue Brewer and husband Mike; six grandchildren, Ashley, Katelin, Austyn, Bryan, Nolan, and Brooke; as well as several nieces and nephews.
