Jesse G Renteria, Jr, 77 of Decatur, TX gained his wings on May 11,2023 in Dallas, TX.
Jesse was born on September 27, 1945, to Jesse G Renteria Sr and Amelia Cervantes Renteria in Ranger, TX. After graduating from Ranger High School in 1965, he enlisted in the Navy and after completing his service, he then joined the Dallas Fire Department as an EMT. Later, he became a supervisor with Tyco in Houston. After many loyal years he retired in 2015.
Jesse married Debbie Renteria on January 1st, 1993. After retirement, Jesse and Debbie moved to Decatur. Jesse spent time enjoying youth baseball and football and always had a passion for making bird houses and other wood working projects for his loved ones and of course his puzzles. He also enjoyed watching his Houston Astros play.
Jesse was preceded in death by his father, Jesse G Renteria Sr and Mother Amelia Renteria and his beloved son “BUDDY” Jason A Renteria. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Renteria of Decatur, his daughter Maggie Lowery “SIS” and son-in-law Jesse Lowery of McKinney, TX, daughter-in-law Kristi Renteria of Rockwall, TX, daughter Toni Young of Decatur, TX, and Matthew Young of Springtown, and son Cody Fox and daughter-in-law Keri Fox of Copperas Cove, TX. Grandchildren include Taylor Carter of Dallas, Chase Lowery of McKinney, Madison Lowery of Wylie, Abigail Renteria of Ohio, Collin Renteria of Rockwall, Blake Renteria of Rockwall, Grace Young of Decatur, Elle Fox of Stephenville, and Kamryn Fox of Copperas Cove. Jesse also had numerous nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Jesse is also survived by siblings, Adella Harris and husband Larry, Gloria and husband Edward Nunez, Elvera and husband Glen Nickell, Armando and wife Marynell, Elosia and husband Winston Grayson, Ester Robinson, and Ronnie and wife Christy Renteria.
A visitation and Rosary will be held on May 19th from 5-7 PM. Service will be Saturday May 20th at 11:00 AM. Both will be held at Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger, TX, followed by a Navy Honored burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
