Jessie "Dorece" Rust, 78, of Cisco passed away Sunday, September 8, 2013. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 7:30 Tuesday at Chambers funeral home in Cisco. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 at Corinth Baptist Cemetery between Cisco and Eastland Texas.
Jessie "Dorece" Rust was born on November 25th, 1934 in Wood County Texas to Oscar "Doc" Hammond and Jessie "Jake" (Folmer) Hammond. Dorece graduated from Wink High School. She married Elmer "EW" Rust in Carlsbad N.M. on December 28th 1953. She and EW owned and operated Rust Processing and Rust Deer Plant for 33 years.
Dorece was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Barbara Ann, Marvece, Jimmy and Don Hammond.
Dorece is survived by her husband Elmer "EW", a son Randy Rust of Abilene, a daughter Elaine Rust Robertson and husband Richard "Tree" Robertson of Morton Valley, one brother David Hammond of Cisco, grandchildren Brandi Foster and husband Cody Foster, Jennifer Hallmark and husband Joseph Hallmark, Erica Johnson, Aaron Rust and wife Julie, and Bridget Roberson. Dorece had seven great grandchildren: Liberty Stone, namesake Reece Foster, Collin Ware, Molly Hallmark, Jack Hallmark, Annika Rust and KK Roberson.
