Jim Erle Mckee, Jr

Jim Erle McKee, Jr, 83 of Gordon, passed away Monday March 21, 2016 in Fort Worth. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the New Gordon Cemetery in Gordon. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn Friday, 6~8 p.m.
Mr. McKee was born August 5, 1932 in Tom Green County to Loveless Erle McKee, Sr. and Bertha Cox McKee. He served in the U.S. Navy and was married to Vivian Lane. He worked in oil field sales for Chapman Services. He loved to hunt, fish, dance, and spend time with his grandchildren. He married Faye June McQueary on December 19, 1975 in Gordon. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a son, Lane Erle McKee.
Survivors include a son, Rodney Erle McKee; 1 daughter, Denise Ion Walker; a brother, Bill Jack McKee; 2 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 12 step-children; 9 step-grandchildren; and 8 step-great-grandchildren.
