April 21, 1932 — May 15, 2016

Jimmie Lynn, 84 of Strawn, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Services will be 10 AM Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Strawn with burial to follow at Dodson Prairie Cemetery. A visitation will be 6-8 PM Tuesday at Edwards Funeral Home Strawn.

Jimmie was born April 21, 1932 to Lonnie Everett Lynn and Thelma
(Speegle) Lynn in Mingus, Texas. He married Pauline Beyer on September 11, 1951 in Strawn, Texas. Jimmie worked as a Texas Pacific Railroad, Lineman, Community Public Service, a Foreman for Thurber Cattle Co., Lone Star Gas, and a self-employed rancher/welder, and Featherlite Company of Ranger. He was a member of the First Baptist Church Mingus since 1943, a past Chief of the Strawn Volunteer Fire Department, American Legion Post #670, and the American Quarter horse Association.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Lynn; 2 sons, James Edward “Stinker” Lynn & wife Janet, and Larry Paul Lynn; 3 daughters, Brenda Martin & Ronnie Ford, Jennifer Rushing & husband James, and Paula Ausburne & husband Paul; a sister, Barbara Yorgesen; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Strawn Volunteer Fire Department.
