Jimmy D. Hill, Sr., 70, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, February 11, 2017 in Fort Worth, Texas. A graveside service will be at 11 A.M. Friday, February 17th at New Gordon Cemetery. The family will accept friends 6-8 P.M. Thursday, February 16th at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn.
Jimmy was born May 12, 1946 in Stephenville, Texas to Alec Wilbar “Squeak” Hill and Davie Faye Stone Hill. He was a Police Officer in Corpus Christi, TX, then transferred to the Stephenville Police Department, and was an owner/operator of a trucking business, and also was a small engine repairman. He married June Boudreaux November 13, 1970 in Portland, Texas. Jimmy was in the United States Army and became a disabled Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the AM Vets, AARP, and Bar-B Coffee Club. He loved guns, fixing cars and lawnmowers, but most of all he loved his children and grandchildren.
Jimmy is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, June Hill; son, Jimmy D. Hill and wife Jennifer; 2 daughters, Melissa Penny and husband Randy and Katie Hill and fiancé, Kyle McCasland; brother, Jerry Hill and wife Carolyn; 2 grandsons, Dillon Penny and Kactus McCasland; nieces, Connie Stone Thompson and Becky Hill Johnson; nephews, Johnny Hill and Richard Hill; and numerous cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, A.W. “Squeak” Hill; mother, Davie Edwards; brother, W.H. (Bob) Stone; and grandson, Shawn Penny.
