Jimmy Dale Mccoy

EASTLAND – Jimmy Dale McCoy, 62, of Eastland, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 in Abilene. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland Friday, 6~8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Eastland City Cemetery.
Jimmy was born on November 22, 1951 in Ranger to Johnny McCoy and Augusta Rich McCoy. He graduated from Eastland High School and later received an Associate’s Degree from Cisco Jr. College. He worked for H&R Lumber for 18 years, for the City of Eastland for several years, as the janitor of Siebert Elementary School for several years, and for Cam services. Jimmy also had worked for Walmart, threw newspapers for the Eastland Telegram, and had been a volunteer fireman.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia McCoy of Eastland; sons, Jimmy McCoy, Jr., James McCoy, and Jason McCoy; daughters, Melissa Sharlow, Lori Lewis, Vanessa McCoy, and Cristal Foreman; mother, Augusta McCoy; brother, Jerry McCoy; sister, Barbara Green; grandchildren, Dustin & Cassandra, Todd Sharlow, Jr, Stormy, Jayden, Dakota, and Michael McCoy, Lorissa & Jeffery McCoy, Kourtney Lewis, Peyton & Miles McCoy, Jacqueline, Devin, Sara Lewis; great-grandchild, Perrin Montez; and several nieces and nephews; and Shirley Sanders, ex-wife and mother of Melissa Sharlow, Jimmy, Jr, Lori Lewis, and James McCoy.
