Jo Ellen Hooks, 68 of Ranger, passed away Wednesday May 1, 2024. Graveside services will be at 2 pm Saturday, May 4th, at the Alameda Cemetery directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Ranger.
She was born June 21, 1955 in Ranger to Millus Richard Blackwell and Delium Aline (Bowen) Blackwell. After graduating high school, she became a Medication Aid and had worked for nursing homes in Eastland and Ranger.
She loved Elvis, reading Westerns and working word search puzzles. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Reva Huston in 2002.
Survivors include 2 sons, Jason Hooks & wife Beth, and Kevin Hamilton & wife Shannon; a brother, Jim Blackwell; and sister, Susan Guerrero & husband Jessie; several grandchildren; and niece, Misti Maxwell.
