William “Jody” Dunson, 92, of Eastland passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016. A graveside service will be 2 PM Friday, March 25th at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger. Local arrangements are made under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home Ranger.
Jody was born April 1, 1923 to Henry W. and Daisy (Hale) Dunson in Ranger, Texas. He married Minnie Lois Huckaby June 18, 1944 in Ranger. He served in the Navy in WWII. He was a preacher and also worked for the State of Texas.
He is survived by 2 sons; William Dunson of Olden and Andy and Debbie Dunson of Abilene; 4 daughters; Charlotte Barnes of Stanton, Jo and Jerry Reeves of Eastland, Cyndi and Dwight Croxton of Decatur, and Mary Laughlin of Arlington; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Minnie Dunson, and son, Royce Dunson.
