Joe Bond, 52, passed from this life, August 5, 2013 at his home in Ranger, Texas.
Visitation will be held on August 8, 2013, at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Ranger from 5-7 P.M. Services will be held on August 9, 2013, at 10 A.M. at the Leon River Cowboy Church in Olden, with Clay Wheat officiating. Interment will follow at Flatwood Cemetery.
Born Joel Travis Bond, Jr., on December 21, 1960 in Eastland, Texas he was the son of Travis (June) and Cathreen Bond.
Joe was the owner of Joe Bond Custom Fencing. He was a member of the Ranger Jaycees and the Ranger Chamber of Commerce. He was active in all 4-H, FFA, college rodeo and Ranger rodeo projects. He donated his time and experience to help children with their show projects. He had a particular fondness for the show pig projects and also enjoyed his many horses.
Joe married Kelly Gentry Bond in October, 1989 in Ranger. Joe is also survived by his two sons: Rowdy Bond of Ranger and Brady McCormick and wife Kelsey of Branford, Florida; his two sisters: Sheila Bond Harr and Husband Danny of Lake Leon; Lisa Ross and husband Dempsey of Lake Leon; and one niece Leanne Connell Ingram of Comanche, Texas.
