John "Kenneth" Epperson

John “Kenneth” Epperson 82 of Gordon, Texas passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022 surrounded by family. Born September 3, 1940 in Jack County to John and Louise Syrus Epperson. He graduated Bryson High School and was the City of Gordon’s Water Superintendent for 47 years.
He was a member of the Gordon Volunteer Fire Department, a past president of the Gordon Lions Club, and served on the Gordon School Board.
Member of Texas Water Utilities association for 50 plus years and a past President of The Central West Texas Water Utilities Association. He was an avid fan of Six-man Football.
Loving Husband, Father and PaPa, Kenneth is survived by his wife Barbara of Gordon; Daughters Tammy and husband Buck Wood of Ennis, Texas and Cindy and Husband Kirby Wigington of Throckmorton, Texas. Two sisters Shirley Kramer of Olpe, Kansas and Joann Lasseter of Gainesville, Texas. One sister-in-law Bessie Epperson of Graham, Texas. One Granddaughter Tonya Parrish of Ennis, Texas. Two Grandsons Jacob Wigington of Wichita Falls, Texas and Jarrett Wigington of Lubbock, Texas and two Great Grandsons Carter and Carson Parrish of Ennis, Texas.
Kenneth never met a stranger, found the good in everyone he met and will be missed by many.
Visitation will be held Monday November 28, 2022 from 12pm to 1: 30 pm and Graveside services to be immediately following at 2:00 pm at The New Gordon Cemetery.
