John Keith Gibson

John Keith Gibson, 63, of Gordon went to be with his Lord & Savior in great celebration Saturday, July 25, 2015. Services will be a visitation 6-8 PM Tuesday, July 28th at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn. Funeral Services will be 10 AM Wednesday, July 29th at the Church of God in Ranger, Texas with burial following at Gibson Family Cemetery. Local arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home Strawn.
John was born August 12, 1951 in Ranger, Tx to Hershel and Mary Margaret (Kitchens) Gibson. He graduated from High School in Strawn in 1969 and married Janice Perkins March 30, 1973. He worked for Texas-New Mexico for 26 years and worked for Lowes Home Improvement for 12 years. John pastored churches in Gatesville and currently was Pastor of Ranger Church of God in Ranger, Tx.
He is preceded in death by his father, Hershel Gibson, grandmother, Margie (Mimi) Kitchens, and brother, Joe Don Gibson.
Survivors include his wife and soulmate, Janice Gibson; daughter, Sheila Gibson Surovik & husband Ray of Belton; grandson, Colton Surovik, and granddaughter, Kelsey Surovik of Belton. Mother, Mary Margaret Gibson of Gordon; sister, Vicki Gibson Dunn & husband Tommy of Glen Rose; brother, Judd Gibson & wife Diana of Stephenville; several nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces that he loved dearly.
