John Phillip Jake Johnston, age 30, passed from this life on May 8, 2023 in Ranger, TX. He was born on October 2, 1992 in Eastland, TX to Joey Phillip Johnston and Tina Kaye Smith. He was a Maintenance Technician for Suddenlink.
Jake, as many knew him, had an unparalleled ability to make others feel valued, loved, and supported. His infectious laughter, his warm smile, and his genuine concern for others will forever be remembered. Jake was a beacon of light in our lives, offering unwavering love and encouragement during both joyful and difficult times. Jake's passing has left an irreplaceable void in our lives, but we find solace in the knowledge that his spirit will live on in our hearts. May he rest in eternal peace, forever remembered and forever loved.
Those left to cherish his memory are his parents: Joey Phillip Johnston and stepmother: Renee of Ranger, TX, mother: Tina Kaye Smith of Mineral Wells, TX; four sisters: Michelle George and husband Kirk of Abilene, TX, Kim Bell of Glenrose, TX, Kentara West and husband Joseph of Abilene, and Jaicee Sawyer and husband Matthew of Nocona, TX; paternal grandmother: Phillis Johnston of Ranger; his significant other, whom he loved dearly: Trista Magill of Ranger; best friend: Ricky Diaz of Ennis, TX, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his precious pit bull “Baby Girl”.
Memorial services in honor of Jake’s life will be held at a later date.
