Jose (Joseph) Angel Ballesteros, Jr. passed away peacefully into the loving arms of our heavenly father on Monday, January 25, 2021, at the young age of 38. Joseph was born August 6, 1982, in Eastland, Texas, to Hilary Mendoza Vasquez and Jose Angel Ballesteros. Joseph is survived by his parents Hilary Vasquez of Ranger; Jose Ballesteros of Arkansas; three sons – Noah Ballesteros; Zakary Ballesteros; and Cooper Ballesteros; three sisters – Nancy Vasquez; Elvia Ballesteros; and Nelva Ballesteros; three brothers – Leonel Ballesteros; Joel Ballesteros; and Jesus Ballesteros numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends that he chose as family. Joseph is proceeded in death by his grandparents, Emeterio and Florencia Vasquez. Aunts, Nancy Mayo and Teresa Ponce, and Uncle John Vasquez.
Joseph attended Ranger High School and graduated in 2002. He had a passion for working on vehicles. Joseph was a loving and hard-working father, son, brother, uncle, and friend. To say Joseph never met a stranger, is an understatement. He always had a joke to tell and a smile to give. Joseph made everyone feel like family.
Funeral services for Joseph will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 1109 Blackwell Rd., Ranger, Texas. Due to COVID-19, the church will live stream the service on the church Facebook page for those who choose to attend remotely. Graveside service will follow at the Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, Texas. Visitation will be held between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Edwards Funeral Home, 411 S. Mulberry St., Eastland, Texas.
