STRAWN- JOSEPH M. NOWAK, 72, PASSED FROM THIS LIFE ON TUESDAY MAY 13, 2014 AT STEPHENVILLE TX. VISITATION WILL BE HELD THURDAY AT THE EDWARDS FUNERAL HOME IN STRAWN FROM 6-8 PM WITH A ROSARY AT 7 PM.
FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD FRIDAY AT DODSON PRARIE St Boniface Catholic Church at 11 am, BURIAL WILL FOLLOW AT THE DODSON PRARIE CEMETERY.
Joseph was born on Feb. 7, 1942 to Stephen F. and Arle (Sawyers) Nowak in Palo Pinto County, where he has been a lifetime resident. He graduated from Strawn High School went to college. He worked for TX Dept. of Transportation.
Survivors include his wife Juanita of Strawn, 1 daughter, Emily Nowak of Ft worth, 3 stepdaughters: Tamra Diaz of Mineral Wells, Becky Harrison of Graford, and Tammy Atkins of Perrin TX . Step Sons, Michael Diaz of Ft. Worth and Tiger Wilson of Mineral Wells. 1 Brother: Charles and Elizabeth Nowak of Strawn Sister in law Gloria Nowak, Nephews Stephen, Ricky, Rusty and Special Grand Niece & Nephews Krece , Kassidy and Trent as well as numerous other grand children and relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 Brother : Stephen Louis Nowak , 1 infant sister: Shelva Dean Nowak and his former wife Sandra Lee Nowak.
Pall Bearers will be, Jimmy Hunt. Alvin Holder, Stephen Nowak, Ricky Nowak, Rusty Nowak and Michael Diaz.
