Peggy Joy Grabin Harris, age 79, of Strawn, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 30, 2020 at her home. Services will be held Tuesday, November 3rd at Mt Marion Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
Joy was born February 1, 1941 to Pete and Elizabeth Moore Grabin in Strawn, Texas. She attended Strawn School and was a life-long resident of Strawn. She married Alton Harris and together they had two sons, Bob and Mark. She loved gardening, ceramics, making mosaics, and working with the Children’s Ministry at First Baptist Church. Spending time with her grandchildren made her the happiest.
Joy is survived by her sons, Bob Harris of Strawn, Mark Harris and his wife Kathy, of Eastland; and sister, Betty Nowak of Strawn. Grandchildren, Stephanie and Derek; and great-grandson, Lane Fawcett called her Mimi. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Children’s Ministry of the First Baptist Church of Strawn, TX.
