Juanita Francis Files, 97, passed peacefully from this life to the next surrounded by her family on Thursday, November 7, 2019 in Lubbock. A graveside service honoring her life will be held on Monday, November 11, 2019 at 1PM at the Eastland City Cemetery. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:30 AM until service time. Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home, 411 S. Mulberry, Eastland, Texas.
Juanita Francis Dodd was born on August 22, 1922 in Lampassas, Texas to Albert and Luda (Mayo) Dodd. She married Ira Files on August 9, 1941 in Gorman, Texas. Juanita was a homemaker, committed wife, and dedicated mother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her 4 sisters and 1 brother, husband, Ira Files, and daughter Glenda Files.
Survivors include her son, Gerald Files of Lubbock; granddaughter, Debbie Callander and husband, Tim Callander of Lubbock; grandson, Ken Files and wife, Shar Files of Lubbock; 5 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great- grandchildren.
