Kenneth Lee Hatton

December 7, 1930 — May 3, 2020

Kenneth Lee Hatton was born December 7, 1930 in the Bullock community in Stephens County at his parent’s farm. He passed away late Sunday afternoon, May 3, 2020 at the Ranger Care Center of natural causes at the age of 89. He was preceded in death by his parents, W.W. and Iva E. Weathers Hatton and 3 brothers; John Earl, Maurice and Rex Hatton. He was raised a Methodist.
A lifelong bachelor, he lived and worked on area farms and ranches, including his parents while living in the Bullock Community. He was a lifelong resident of the community expect for 1949-1950 when he lived and worked on the famous S.M. Swenson Ranch of 106,000 acres in Throckmorton County. He was also an amateur calf roper in the late 1940’s and early 1950’s competing in area rodeos.
He attended Bullock school and Ranger High School before quitting to go to work. He enjoyed all aspects of farm/ranch work and running cattle of his own. He loved to hunt and fish alone and with his nephews for recreation.
Kenneth is survived by two brothers; Billy Tom and Royce Hatton and their spouses who still reside in the Bullock Community as well as five nephews and many grand nephews and nieces and cousins.
Interment will be in the Bullock Cemetery, Wednesday May 6, 2020 at 10am. Kenneth was liked by all who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
