Kurt Stanley Clark long time resident of Bright Point Nursing Facility in Abilene, Texas passed away March 18, 2023.
Kurt graduated from Eastland High School in 1963. He was a member of the Eastland High School band. Kurt spent most of his life in Taylor County, Texas. He was born in Ranger Hospital June 16, 1944; the son of Mary Jo and Gordon Clark. He married Edwina Dean, and had a daughter, Monica Clark Kapitan. He later married Karen Hester of Abilene. Kurt worked as a helicopter mechanic as a young adult. He then worked for Foremost Dairy and Mrs. Baird’s Bread, retiring to become a self-employed small engine and lawn mower repairman in Abilene. Kurt was active in his church. He always provided well for his family and the show cats which he loved.
Kurt is survived by his daughter, Monica Kapitan of Pleasant Grove, Utah; two sisters, Mary Margaret Clark and Julia “Cathy” Dudley and nephew Richard Clark, great-nieces, Hanna and Hailey all of Eastland. Grandchildren, Jonathan Kapitan of American Fork, Utah, Teresa Kapitan of Lehi, Utah, Justin Kapitan of Pleasant Grove, Utah; great-grandchildren, William Kapitan, Jordyn Kapitan, Greydan Kapitan, Jack Kapitan. Also survived by aunts Juanita Langlitz of Eastland and Cathryn Clark of La Mesa, California; and numerous cousins in California and Texas.
There will be a memorial service March 27, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Harmony Baptist Church in Morton Valley; graveside service at 2:30 p.m. March 27 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Carbon, Texas.
