L.W. (Bob) Wallace passed from this life at his home Wednesday, June 3, 2014. Bob was born September 26, 1926 in Ranger, Texas to Lowe W. Wallace and Johnnie Lowery Wallace. He graduated from Ranger High School and Christ for the Nations College. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Air Force. He married Ruby Purvis December 30, 1980. He was a pipe line welder, Minister and a Pilot. He was a Member of Pipeliners Union #798, Pastored Believers Fellowship Church in Cross Plains for ten years and New Life Church in Rising Star, Texas for two years. He loved to oil paint, fly airplanes and play golf.
He is survived by his wife Ruby; one son, David Guy Wallace; one daughter, Rachel Gay Dyson; four step-children, Ann Hamilton, Dwayne Purvis, Kay Roberson, and Donnie Purvis; one grandson, Scotty Tanner; three step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
Services will be a visitation from 5 to 7 P.M. Friday, June 6, 2014 at Edwards Funeral Home Strawn, Texas with a graveside service to be 1:30 Saturday at Mt. Marion Cemetery in Strawn, Texas.
