CISCO-Lanny Joe Strickland, age 51, died on October 3, 2012 at Hendricks Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
Lanny was born April 16, 1961 in Merkel, Texas. He has lived in Cisco most of his life. By trade he was a carpenter. He will be remembered for his outstanding work ethic and some of the beautiful homes he built and remodeled.
Survivors include his companion: Loretta Hogue; daughters: Tera Davenport; Amanda Strickland; Mollie and Mara Hogue of Cisco; sons: Joe Strickland; and Michael Speegle of Albany; mother: Neoma Ingram of Cisco; sisters: Kathy High of Carbon; and Carla Adams of Midlothian; brother: Kevin Strickland of Cisco; grandchildren: Gavin and Radin Davenport of Ranger; Allyssa Madden of Cisco; Alayna Hogue; Aubrey, Nathan, and Payton Malcuit; Zakke Sanefer; Maggie Hogue; Jamie, Anna, Mariah, Makayla, and little Michael Speegle.
He was preceded in death by his father Allie Joe Strickland and his grandparents.
Family will be holding a memorial service on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Faith Baptist Church on 700 West 18th Street. Arrangements made through Chambers Funeral Home.
