– Laura Ellen (Bouldin) Greenwood, 87, passed away December 13, 2014 in Round Rock, Texas. A graveside service will be December 19th at 2pm at Eastland City Cemetery under the direction of Bakker Funeral Home.

Laura was born on March 5, 1927 in Miami, AZ to Charles W. and Allie May (Garvin) Bouldin. She was the oldest of three, with two Brothers, Robert W. and Bobby R. The Bouldin family moved to Texas early in her life where her father settled them in Shackleford County to farm.

Laura graduated from Albany High and moved to Cisco, Texas. In Cisco she worked as a seamstress in a glove factory. It was here that she met her future husband, Ira O. Greenwood. He was employed by the Odessa Fire Department. They married in Monahans, Texas in 1947.

Shortly after their wedding they relocated to Abilene, Texas where they lived for 23 years. After Ira’s retirement from the Abilene Fire Department in 1972 they moved to Ranger, Texas. Laura lived in Ranger for 34 years.

She moved to Austin and later to Angleton, Texas to live with her son. Due to her health she moved back to the Austin area five years ago.

Laura is survived by her son, James Michael Greenwood and his wife of Hockley, Texas, brother, Bobby Bouldin of Arizona, 6 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Regena Ann Greenwood Baker, and brother Robert Bouldin.
