Lavada Loretta Dixon

LaVada Loretta Dixon, 92, of Strawn, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014 in Stephenville. Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn. Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. John’s Catholic Church with Father James Wilcox officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Marion Cemetery.
Mrs. Dixon was born February 6, 1922 in Strawn to Stanley Matt & Mary Teresa (Nowak) Morris. After high school she married K.C. Dixon on September 28, 1946 in Strawn where she was a faithful member of St. John’s Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Kay Dixon; 5 brothers, Julius, Stanley, Fred Eugene, Johnny & Ed Morris; and by 2 sisters, Anna Marie Schwesig and Rosalee Galick.
Survivors include 2 sons, Gary Dixon and Jimmy Dixon & wife Jane both of Strawn; 5 grandchildren, Michael Camfield, Lindy Zubik & husband Andy, Nadja Morgan & husband Josh, Aubrey Dixon, and Ethan Dixon; and by 1 great-grandson, Deagan Dixon Smith.
