Lela Mae Morris

Lela Morris went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, July 15, 2014. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church in Strawn. Burial will follow in the Mt. Marion Cemetery. Family visitation will be Thursday, 6~8:00 p.m. at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn.
Lela was born May 21, 1918 to Frank D. Rogers and Donnie Lee (Miller) Rogers. She graduated from Strawn High School. She married Johnny L. Morris on July 15, 1938. Lela was a member of First Baptist Church Strawn for many years. Her interests were her family, her church, and delivering the Ft. Worth Star Telegram for many years.
Lela was preceded in death by her parents and husband. She is survived by one brother, James Cecil Rogers; one sister, Virgie Honeycutt; several nieces and nephews and many great and great-great-nieces and nephews.
