Leslie J Lewis

Leslie JoeAnn Lewis was a warrior to the end, but lost her battle against Cancer on June 22, 2018.She was met at the entrance to Heaven by her best friend and mother Zoetta Struck, her father Dewey Struck, and “Tink” where we are sure was a joyous, celebration. Services for Leslie will be at 9 am Tuesday, June 26, 2018 at Edwards Funeral Home at 411 S Mulberry, Eastland. Family and friends will gather from 6-8 pm on Monday, June 25 at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Murray Cemetery south of Carbon on Hwy 6.
Leslie embraced the “Struck Strong” motto from birth to overcome many obstacles in her life. Beginning with an older sibling who did not want to be an older sibling. Leslie was a “Teen Mom” before reality TV made it popular, she struggled in the beginning but found her way and raised two wonderful children. Despite being a high school dropout, in 2007 Leslie overcame any learning challenges she faced and received her GED making her family so proud of her.
After multiple attempts at finding her soulmate Leslie met and married Mitchell Lewis on June 6th, 1997. The two would become one and together would raise her two children Heather Price Thomas and Heath Price. Then in 2010, when her own children were grown Leslie and her husband opened their hearts and adopted 3 younger children and gave them a home and hope for the future.
Leslie enjoyed being a Homemaker, and caregiver to her parents, her children, and anyone else who needed her assistance. She was always someone who could be counted on in times of a crisis. She would visit her mother and father on a weekly basis sometimes more, and never failed to call them daily. At their passing she never missed a Sunday visit to her mother’s resting place then her fathers until her health prevented her from visiting them. She was always up for family game night or family get togethers, as with all Strucks, family was the number one on her list.
Leslie leaves behind family who will miss her dearly: Her husband Mitchell Lewis, daughter Heather and Justin Thomas, son Heath Price and Taysha Johnson, daughter Jacque, son Devin Lee, and daughter Sara Lewis; Siblings – Ronnie and Karen Struck, Peggy and Ronnie Johnson, Donna Huggins, Toni and Steve Watkins, Traci Stuck, Robert and Pam Struck, Amy and Bastian Freitag. Grand-children Devin Mitchell Price, Lily Shires, Melody Price, and Eden Thomas. And so many nieces and nephews who all adored their Aunt Leslie.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother Rose Etta Williams, her mother Zoetta Struck, and father Dewey Struck and her beloved dog Tinkerbell.
