Leslie Edvin Reese

November 21, 1918 — August 19, 2017

LONE CAMP – Leslie Edvin Reese, age 98 of Lone Camp, TX passed away at his home on Saturday, August 19, 2017. Services for Leslie will be at 2 pm Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Lone Camp Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Tuesday at the Edwards Funeral Home, 215 E. Housley St., Strawn, TX. Burial will be in Comanche, OK.
He was born November 21, 1918 in Fannin County, TX to Warden and Lela Teel Reese. He was a World War II, US Army veteran. He retired from the USS Oil Well Supply.
Leslie enjoyed growing his own vegetables, could fix a car with a can, could build a 30 ft. high shed by himself and was the master of “Southern Engineering”.
He loved all his family and especially enjoyed his grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, many of who were named after him. He was a gentle and kind man who loved his family and friends.
Leslie was survived by a son, Jack Reese and his wife Carol of Plano, TX, daughter, Kay Vaughn and her husband Tommy of Lone Camp, four grandchildren and their spouses, nine great grandchildren and their spouses, fourteen great-great grandchildren, two step grandchildren and nine step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Warden and Lela Teel Reese, his loving wife of 56 years, Neva Mae Simmons Reese and a grandson, Jeff Reese.
