Linda S. Jones

Linda S. Fisher Sellers Jones, 79, of Ranger, Texas, passed away on November 13, 2022.

Linda was born on November 11, 1943 to John and Idella Fisher in Detroit, Texas. In September 1960, she married Jess M. Sellers. Linda and Jess raised their four children in Fort Worth, Texas. She had a nursing career of more than thirty years and loved caring for others. In 1990, Jess and Linda moved to Stephens County and began attending New Hope Baptist #3 in Ranger, Texas. After the passing of Jess in 2008, Linda married Robert E. Jones in 2012. They were blessed with 10 wonderful years together.

Linda was a faithful servant to the Lord, often serving her church however she could. She enjoyed teaching children’s Sunday school and one of her greatest joys was bringing her grandchildren and great-grandchildren to church. She was a wonderful mother and loving grandmother who prayed constantly over her family. An excellent cook, she blessed many with her delicious meals. Linda was an exceptional quilter and could often be found making blankets for her great-grandchildren. Her love of gardening and dogs, and their mutual love of music and fellowship, kept her and Bob busy in retirement.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, John L. Fisher and Idella Holloman Fisher, her daughter, Barbara K. Sellers, her first husband, Jess M. Sellers, and her brother, Havis L. Fisher, Linda is survived by her husband Robert E. Jones of Ranger; daughter, Donna S. Sellers of Cisco; daughter Joanie S. Edwards and husband Judson G. Edwards of Graham; son Randy D. Sellers of Fort Worth; and bonus son and daughter; Raymon Jones of Andrews and April Waters of Abilene. Grandchildren; Jessica Rand, Ben Rand, Wade Edwards, Daniel De La Cruz, Sadie Farr, Lilly Lehr, Tyler Jones, Hayden Jones, Skyler Jones, Justin Jones, Duke Jones, Brandon Jones, Lila Jones, Rachel Jones, and Bruce Jones. Great-grandchildren: Morgan Vandygriff, Mackenzie MacFarlane, Kennedy De La Cruz, Mariah Frost, Jayden Frost, Preslee Carr, Zadok Rand, Elijah Lehr, Zelle Rand, Owen De La Cruz, Charli Edwards, Alivia Lehr, Wyatt Farr, Ava De La Cruz, Wynn Farr, Conner Jones, Wes Jones, Royce Jones, and Becky Jones; Great-great-grandchild: Jhett Houvenaeghel.

The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger, Texas. There will be a funeral service Wednesday, November 16, 11 am at New Hope Baptist Church #3, Ranger, Texas.
