EASTLAND – Linda Jean Morren, 77 of Eastland, passed away Tuesday
June 22, 2021 in Eastland. Linda was born September 1, 1943 in Macon, GA to William R. and Ester (Schwartz) Greer. After high school she attended Midwestern University in Wichita Falls, TX.
She married Johnnie David Morren June 22, 1965 in Tampa, FL. Johnnie and Linda moved to Eastland, Texas in 1979.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Johnnie Morren; and sister, Sherri Sons.
She was a beloved and cherished member of the First Christian Church in Eastland.
Linda is survived by her Sister Barbara and husband Charles Gaudi of Florida and beloved Sons, John Robert and wife Michelle Morren of Maryland, David Wayne and Wife Jessica Morren of Dallas TX and Jeffery Michael and wife Amy Morren of Waxahachie TX. Nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was a loving and devoted mother and cherished her grandchildren. They were her pride, her joy, and her whole heart.
Linda worked as the secretary for the Eastland High School for 30 years. She put her heart and soul into everything she did at EHS, especially her students. She wasn’t just a secretary, Mrs. Morren was a friend, a confidant, someone you could come to when life was bringing you down. She was every student’s biggest fan and she was the Eastland Mavericks biggest cheerleader!
She leaves a legacy of love, kindness, generosity, and faith.
A memorial service will be held July 8, 2021 at 10:00 o’clock in the morning at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland, Texas. A family burial will follow at the Eastland City Cemetery.
