Lois Leona Cook Terrell, 89 of Eastland, passed away Monday August 14, 2017 in Abilene. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Eastland City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Edwards Funeral Home Tuesday, 5~7:00 P.M.
Lois was born May 25, 1928 in Corpus Christi to Orie Cook and Molly (Harris) Cook. She married the love of her life, Milton L. Terrell on January 15, 1946 in Sundown, TX. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1979. She was a devout follower of Christ, wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, amazing cook and a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
Her first grandchild, a baby girl, Tiffany Elizabeth Terrell, preceded her in death on May 27, 1967.
Survivors include two sons, Larry Terrell of Cisco, and Rodger Terrell of Eastland; a daughter, Carol Martyn (Ray) of Florida; four grandchildren, Scott Terrell (Teresa) of Abilene, Amy Gomez (Jaime) of Dallas, Justin Terrell (Jennifer) of OK, and Travor Terrell of Austin; seven great-grandchildren, Alexandra Terrell Russell (Justin) of Abilene, Symantha Terrell of Abilene, Brighlon Kilpatrick of Abilene, J.W. Terrell of OK, Jentry Terrell of OK, Gus Terrell of Austin, and Veda Terrell of Austin; and one great-great-granddaughter, Brooklynn Conger of Abilene.
Her legacy is the faith and love she instilled in all of these children and beyond. She is missed immensely by those she left on Earth, but she is dancing in her heavenly reward with her beloved husband and first grandbaby.
