Lonnie Tedford, Jr., 87, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in his home in Weatherford. Services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 26th at Evergreen Cemetery in Ranger, Texas under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home in Ranger.
Lonnie was born February 12, 1931 in Brookston, Texas to Lonnie and Ruby (Dunson) Tedford, Sr. He married Lavern Jones September 17, 1973 in Oklahoma. Lonnie was a member and served as a Preacher for the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Merkel, Texas. He was well known for loving the Lord and to his family he was the best husband, father, and Papa in the world.
Lonnie is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lavern Tedford, sons, James Henry, Eddie Henry and wife Suzan, Gerald Tedford and wife Lesley, Roy Tedford and wife Patti, and Richard Tedford and wife Dawn; daughters, Claudine Bolin and Retha Bagwell and husband Merle; sisters, Frankie, Barbara, and Ruby. He was gifted and survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Ruby; son Howard Henry II; and daughters, Evelyn Jones, and Gloria Boland.
