Lucille Elizabeth Jenkins

Lucille Elizabeth Jenkins, 83 of Ranger, was called home to her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 12, 2017. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 17th at 11 a.m. at the Merriman Baptist Church in Ranger with Bro. Jimmy Livley officiating. Burial will follow in Merriman Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Ranger.
Lucille was born on August 15, 1933. She married Emanuel Raymond Jenkins (Popsicle) on June 17, 1952 in Toledo, Ohio. She made her living as a cook, working in various restaurants in Canal Winchester and Lancaster, Ohio. After moving to Texas in 1974, she worked for many years at Old Rip Café in Eastland, and Lilly’s Restaurant in Ranger. She was also a long-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Post 4136 in Eastland. She was a Baptist and a member of Merriman Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, E.R. (Popsicle) Jenkins; two sons, Ray Jr, and Rodger Jenkins; two daughters, Diane Pittman, and Elizabeth Frago; and four grandchildren.
She is survived by 4 sons, Jack and Cindy Jenkins, Daniel and Emma Jenkins, George and Brenda Jenkins all of Ranger, and Paul and Kami Jenkins of Abilene; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family in both Ohio and Texas.
