Luther Wayne Hicks

Luther Wayne Hicks, 54, of Ranger, TX went to be with his Lord February 21, 2015 with his family by his side. He was born in Stephenville, TX February 29, 1960 a leap year baby, to Clinton Earl Hicks and Patsy Chapman Hicks. Wayne’s service will be a graveside service at 4 PM Wednesday February 25, 2015 at Simpson Cemetery. Under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home Eastland.
Survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Charlotte Gibbs Hicks, daughter, Jenifer Louise Martinez of Moran, TX, son David Wayne Lowe of Dallas, TX, grandchild, Abby Louise Martinez, mother, Pat Hicks of Granbury, TX, brother, Kelvin Hicks of Stephenville, TX, sisters; Brenda and husband William Perry of Kilgore, TX and Debbie Houston of Stephenville, TX. He is also survived by mother and father-in-law Louise and Orvel Gibbs of Eastland, TX, 3 nieces and 4 nephews.
He is preceded in death by Father Clinton Earl Hicks.
Wayne was a hard worker and loved his family and friends very much. Always had a sense of humor and ready to joke and have fun. One of his many sayings was that he was “only a 13 year old”.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
