Lynn Nicholson

Lynn Nicholson, 86, of Eastland, Texas, passed from this life on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 near Eastland.
Funeral Services will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, October 23, 2021, at First Baptist Church of Eastland, with Kevin Burrow, officiating. Burial will be in Merriman Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Friday, October 22, at Edwards Funeral Home in Eastland, Texas.
Lynn was born on March 6, 1935 in Dallas, Texas to George Dallas and Esther Gertrude Hagerty Nicholson. He lived in Ranger and Eastland all his life and was a graduate of Ranger High School. He married Beverly Gail Reed on December 29, 1961 in Ranger. She preceded him in death on July 17, 2019. Lynn served in the National Guard, was the Treasurer of his Praise Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Eastland, was on the Eastland County Water Board, and was the Vice President of the Merriman Cemetery Association. He was also preceded in death by his son: Brad Alan Nicholson on December 29, 1989, his parents, and 2 sisters: Roselle Waggoner and Druanne Townzen.
Lynn is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
The family has asked that memorials be made to Merriman Cemetery Association.
Arrangements are under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Eastland, Texas.
